Mali targets high-value terror suspects with cash rewards
To bolster national security and intensify efforts against armed groups in the Sahel, the Malian Government has announced cash rewards for the capture or elimination of seven key terrorist leaders. The bounties range from 500 million to 2 billion West African CFA francs, depending on the individual’s role and threat level.
« The Republic of Mali is offering financial compensation to anyone providing verifiable, actionable intelligence leading to the arrest or neutralization of the listed individuals, » stated an official statement from the Ministry of Security. The announcement underscores the government’s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks operating across the region.
The targets include well-known figures such as Iyad Ag Ghali (2 billion FCFA), Hamadoun Hassan Sankaré, also known as Amadou Kouffa (1.5 billion FCFA), Abdoulaye Mahamadou Bekaye Diallo, nicknamed Doulé Bib de Nampala (1.5 billion FCFA), and Alghabass Ag Intallah (1 billion FCFA).
These individuals are accused of orchestrating and executing attacks that have destabilized security, claimed innocent lives, and disrupted daily life across Mali. Authorities have emphasized the urgent need for public cooperation, urging citizens to report any credible leads to defense and security forces.
« Every piece of information, no matter how small, can make a difference, » officials noted. « We encourage all Malians to remain vigilant and support our collective effort to restore peace and stability. »
