President Romuald Wadagni’s working visit to Lomé strengthens Benin-Togo relations
The President of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, arrived in Lomé today for a high-level working visit, marking another milestone in the deepening friendship and bilateral cooperation between Benin and Togo.
Upon landing at the Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport, President Wadagni was greeted by Togo’s Prime Minister, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé. The meeting focused on shared priorities such as regional integration, economic development, and stability across West Africa.
This visit aligns with the President’s ongoing regional tour since his inauguration on May 24, underscoring Lomé’s pivotal role as a hub for political dialogue and diplomatic engagement in the region.
A formal welcome ceremony was held at the airport, attended by key figures including cabinet ministers, legislators, and traditional leaders from the Greater Lomé area.
