On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, General of the Army Corps Issaka Malloua Djamouss, the Minister of Armies, War Veterans, and Victims of War, arrived in Sarh. This city serves as the administrative center for the Moyen-Chari province in Chad, and his visit focused on critical security matters.

Upon his arrival at Sarh airport, the Minister was greeted by Abderaman Ahmat Bargou, the government’s general delegate to Moyen-Chari province. Local administrative and military officials, alongside leaders of the defense and security forces, were also present to welcome him.

The primary objective of this mission was to engage with the province’s military leadership, conduct a thorough assessment of the prevailing security landscape, and commend the ongoing initiatives aimed at bolstering the safety of residents and their possessions.

During the visit, officials presented the Minister with a substantial collection of 247 weapons. This cache included both military-grade firearms and artisanal weapons, all of which had been confiscated from civilians in recent weeks. These successful disarmament operations were carried out by the defense and security forces, with crucial support from the Joint Chad–Central African Republic Force.
