Commander of Chad-CAR Joint Force Visits Injured Soldiers in Korbol

The commander of the joint force between Chad and the Central African Republic (CAR) recently paid a visit to soldiers injured in Korbol, emphasizing the urgency of their evacuation to N’Djamena for specialized medical treatment.

General of Brigade Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, leading the Tchad–République centrafricaine joint force, visited the provincial hospital of Sarh Outel Bono on May 10 to assess the condition of two soldiers wounded during clashes in Korbol the previous Thursday. The visit aimed to gather firsthand information on the health status of the victims, who suffered injuries from an armed attack in the region.

The wounded soldiers are Sergeant Allahguernganye Diro Martial, 36, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, and Corporal Djimet Issakah Dane, who suffered a fractured left leg from gunfire. Both were receiving care at the provincial hospital but required advanced medical attention. Following discussions with medical staff, General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor expedited their transfer to N’Djamena’s military hospital to ensure optimal treatment.

Dr. Sayambaye Alladoumdjim, Deputy Director of the Sarh provincial hospital, commended the swift action of defense and security forces in evacuating the injured soldiers for proper medical care. According to hospital sources, the two soldiers were transferred urgently the same day, with authorities hoping this rapid intervention will enhance their recovery prospects.

Importance of Rapid Medical Evacuation for Wounded Soldiers

The incident underscores the critical need for timely medical evacuations in conflict zones. Injured personnel often require specialized care that may not be available locally, making rapid transport to equipped facilities essential for survival and recovery. The joint force’s proactive approach in this case reflects a commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its personnel.

Military Leadership’s Role in Soldier Welfare

Visits from high-ranking officers to injured troops serve multiple purposes: they boost morale, demonstrate leadership’s concern for soldiers’ welfare, and ensure that medical evacuations and treatments are prioritized. Such actions reinforce the bond between command and frontline personnel, fostering a culture of care within the armed forces.
