The head of Chad’s Universal Peace Federation chapter, Emmanuel Nadingar, held a press briefing on May 23 at the Sabangali headquarters in N’Djaména’s third district. The gathering served as a platform to address escalating global conflicts driven by resource competition and the nation’s own socio-political tensions.
Urgent plea for national cohesion
Nadingar emphasized that violent conflicts worldwide are pushing communities to regroup and fortify boundaries. Within Chad, he observed significant developments—though he refrained from elaborating—stressing the need to confront these challenges collectively.
«The way forward lies in rejecting divisive tribalism, isolationism, and all forms of aggression,» he declared. His solution? A robust commitment to peace through active listening and transparent, heartfelt discussions. «Only by standing united can we overcome the obstacles before us,» he insisted.
Vision for sustainable peace
The Universal Peace Federation, an NGO established in 2005, now operates in over 190 countries. Nadingar underscored its global reach as a testament to the universal appeal of peace-building efforts.
