The 17th of July marks a symbolic cap, five months since the suspension of social media platforms. Since the High Authority of Communication (HAC) published its last communiqué on February 17th, the main digital platforms remain inaccessible without a VPN « until further notice ». A measure that, despite being presented as a response to the proliferation of hate speech, misinformation, and security threats, has left the authorities silent on the conditions for returning to normalcy.
