Jordan condemns foiled terror plots in Morocco pledges full support

Security forces during counter-terrorism operations

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has strongly condemned the terrorist plots recently foiled in Morocco, reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with the North African nation.

In an official statement released by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Amman emphasized that these thwarted attacks targeted the very foundations of Morocco’s public order, as well as the safety of its citizens and infrastructure.

Speaking on behalf of the ministry, Ambassador Fouad Majali declared that Jordan stands fully behind Morocco in its efforts to defend national sovereignty, maintain internal stability, and protect its people from extremist threats.

The Jordanian government’s stance follows the announcement by Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations regarding the dismantling of highly advanced terrorist operations at a critical stage of execution.

Coordinated raids, conducted with precise intelligence provided by the General Directorate for National Security, resulted in the arrest of radicalized individuals across multiple Moroccan cities.

Preliminary investigations suggest that these suspects were logistically supported and operationally directed by the ISIS-affiliated group active in the Sahel region.
