Chad and Libya move forward with direct Benghazi-N’Djamena air link
Chad and Libya are stepping up bilateral ties with plans to launch a direct air route between N’Djamena and Benghazi, boosting trade and travel between the two nations.
During a meeting in Benghazi, Libya’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Houij received Chad’s Consul General, Hassan Ahmat Daissire, along with consular attaché Aboubakar Sidick Mahamat Abagana. The talks centered on deepening bilateral cooperation across consular, economic, trade, transport, and communications sectors. A proposed direct air route between N’Djamena and Benghazi was highlighted as a key initiative to enhance mobility and exchange. The voluntary repatriation program for Chadian nationals was also discussed, with coordination involving national authorities and international organizations. Both sides underscored their commitment to strengthening the long-standing, fraternal relationship between Chad and Libya.
