« In today’s world, a single message can either build a nation or destabilize it, » emphasized the project coordinator during the opening ceremony. The rise of disinformation, hate speech, and manipulative content on digital platforms poses a growing threat to social cohesion and national stability. This workshop aims to counter that threat by training a generation of digitally literate youth who can critically evaluate information and rely on credible sources.
From passive users to digital leaders
The curriculum goes beyond basic digital literacy. Participants are being educated on advanced topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and viral content verification (fact-checking). The goal? To transform these young individuals from passive consumers of digital content into proactive « ambassadors of responsible digital citizenship » within their communities.
