The University of Lomé (UL) is significantly enhancing its global academic footprint. A landmark framework cooperation agreement was officially signed on Friday, June 5, 2026, establishing a robust partnership with Creighton University, a distinguished Jesuit institution located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States.

This pivotal accord was formalized by Professor Kossivi Hounaké, President of the University of Lomé, and Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson, President of Creighton University. This collaborative venture aims to solidify their joint efforts across key areas: advanced training, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive knowledge exchange, showcasing a commitment to pan-African journalism and broader Africa news.

The agreement specifically outlines the implementation of shared educational and research programs. It also champions the promotion of mobility for students, teaching staff, and researchers, fostering a dynamic international academic environment. Furthermore, this partnership facilitates the organization of joint colloquia, seminars, and other scientific activities of mutual interest, contributing to the continent’s press and academic discourse.
