Camrail claims nearly $1.25 billion injected into Cameroon’s economy since 1999

Since 1999, Camrail’s cumulative contribution to the Cameroonian economy has reached 750 billion FCFA, approximately $1.25 billion. The general manager of Cameroon’s rail concessionaire, Pierre Ngon, disclosed this figure during a press dinner on June 22, 2026 in Douala. Camrail’s operations continue to support the country’s economic growth.
