Côte d’Ivoire’s development policy under spotlight at government briefing

Abidjan, 15 July 2026 – On Monday 20 July at 10:00 AM, Minister of Planning and Development Souleymane Diarrassouba will take center stage at the Government Briefings, a flagship forum organized by the Centre d’Information et de Communication Gouvernementale (CICG), located in the heart of Abidjan-Plateau. The event will unfold at the Prime Minister’s auditorium and welcome both national and international media representatives.

The session will be streamed live across the Government’s digital platforms, including Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring widespread access for citizens and stakeholders nationwide.

During the briefing, Souleymane Diarrassouba will unveil the key enjeux, challenges, and prospects of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Policy (PND). He will delve into the PND’s strategic pillars, highlighting the Government’s top priorities such as economic structural transformation, industrialization, human capital enhancement, infrastructure modernization, governance reforms, and balanced regional growth.

Designed as an interactive platform, the Government Briefings foster direct dialogue between government officials, journalists, professional bodies, and civil society representatives on pressing national issues. This initiative by the CICG bridges the gap between public policy and citizen engagement, reinforcing transparency and accountability in governance.
