Khalifa Sall challenges the Diomaye-Sonko duo at the Taxawu Sénégal congress

Taxawu Sénégal successfully hosted its founding assembly this Sunday, attracting a wide array of prominent figures from the Senegalese political opposition. The event saw the participation of notable leaders such as Aïssata Tall Sall, Bamba Fall, Oumar Sarr representing the FDR, Me Elhadj Diouf, Alioune Ndoye from the Parti socialiste, Abdoulaye Wilanne, and Doudou Wade. This gathering signaled a clear intent to consolidate various political forces against the current administration.

Amidst this atmosphere of high-stakes mobilization, the leader of Taxawu Sénégal, Khalifa Sall, delivered a scathing critique of the duo composed of Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko. The former Mayor of Dakar expressed deep dissatisfaction with how public affairs are being managed, accusing the leadership of being indifferent to the daily hardships faced by the citizens of Sénégal.

According to Khalifa Sall, the current government is more focused on its internal agendas than the welfare of the people. He characterized the administration’s actions as “Baara Yeego,” denouncing what he described as a system of shady deals and obscure maneuvers at the highest levels of the State. This bold statement reflects a growing determination within the opposition to challenge the status quo more aggressively.

The Taxawu Sénégal leader also pledged a structured and resolute political response. “They will face a well-prepared and unified opposition front aimed at removing them from office, as the people of Sénégal have never endured such significant difficulties,” he warned. His remarks outline a strategy for opposition unity ahead of future electoral contests in Sénégal.
