Satellite imagery of the sixth air base at Ben Guerir confirms that the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces have taken delivery and begun operating Turkish-made Bayraktar Akıncı drones, manufactured by Baykar. These advanced unmanned aerial vehicles are now in service alongside the existing Bayraktar TB2 drones previously acquired.
The new Akıncı drones arrived in Morocco early last year and have been integrated at the same air base, where satellite observations show them deployed for operations. This acquisition marks a significant enhancement of Morocco’s aerial surveillance and strike capabilities.
