The OHADA Club of Abdou Moumouni University of Niamey (Club OHADA UAM) will host a solemn opening ceremony on 22 and 23 May 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00, under the theme: « OHADA: past, present and future! »
This academic and scientific event will coincide with the 8th edition of the As de la Plaidoirie in OHADA Law competition, designed to foster legal culture, judicial eloquence and scholarly debate on the evolution of uniform African business law.
Competition themes unveiled
- Preliminary round: « Should OHADA business law be redefined? »
- Final round: « OHADA Law: Business Law or Economic Activity Law? »
These topics reflect current discussions on expanding the scope of OHADA law and aligning uniform legislation with African and global economic changes.
Prizes and awards
Winners of the competition will receive:
- A professional internship;

- A trophy.
