The RNDT-Le Réveil party has welcomed the 14 August 2026 publication of a presidential pardon decree releasing multiple detainees, including prominent political figures. This executive act fulfills the pledge made three days earlier by President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno and aligns with the 8 August appeal for national reconciliation issued by party leader Pahimi Padacké Albert.

In an official statement, the party hailed the decree as an act that upholds public commitments and sends a strong signal of encouragement for broader political openness across Tchad.
