Bénin: primary school exam results for 2026 session anticipated this friday
After weeks of anticipation, students who sat for the Certificat d’Études Primaires (CEP) examinations in the 2026 session will finally discover their fate this Friday. The official deliberation of results is scheduled to commence at 10:30 AM for the 286,995 pupils who participated in the nationwide assessments.

Hopeful candidates for the Certificat d’Études Primaires (CEP) 2026 session are on the verge of learning their academic standing. The highly anticipated deliberation for this year’s examination is set for this Friday, beginning at 10:30 AM. A total of 286,995 students participated in the tests, which were conducted across the national territory from June 1st to 4th. This cohort included 149,424 boys and 138,571 girls, all distributed among 860 examination centers.
This year’s official launch of the examination took place at the Gbofoly public primary school, situated in the commune of Aplahoué. Notably, the 2026 session also accommodated 97 candidates with specific needs, comprising 36 girls, who were spread across 13 dedicated centers.
Official figures from the Ministry of Maternal and Primary Education indicate a 5.56% increase in the total number of candidates compared to the previous examination session.
As the deliberation approaches this Friday, thousands of students and their families across Bénin hold their breath, eagerly awaiting the results that will signify the culmination of their primary education journey and pave the way for their entry into secondary schooling.
