Corlay Côte d’Ivoire marks 60 years with bold energy expansion plans

In a landmark celebration of resilience and progress, Corlay Côte d’Ivoire—formerly known as Texaco—has kicked off a year-long commemoration of its six decades of operations. The milestone event, held on May 6, 2026, at the company’s Vridi headquarters in Abidjan, underscored not just a legacy of excellence but a forward-looking vision to shape the future of Côte d’Ivoire’s energy landscape and beyond.

The festivities, launched in the presence of key stakeholders, partners, and institutional figures, highlighted the company’s evolution from a local player into a cornerstone of the West African energy sector. At the heart of the event was a keynote address by the company’s Managing Director, Alassane Ouattara, who emphasized the importance of modernization in navigating today’s dynamic energy challenges. The newly unveiled 2026-2030 strategic plan outlines a roadmap centered on robust governance, human capital development, digital transformation, and sustainable growth that delivers tangible value.

« These six decades represent more than just years on the calendar—they symbolize trust, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to our customers, partners, and team,» said Ouattara. « Our mission is to carry this legacy forward with responsibility and determination, building the Corlay of tomorrow.» The company also announced a year-long series of engagements, including promotional campaigns, community outreach, and strategic partnerships, designed to deepen its connection with stakeholders nationwide.

Mohamed Touré, a key executive, underscored the company’s adaptability in an ever-changing energy market. He highlighted Corlay Côte d’Ivoire’s strategic positioning across industrial, maritime, and lubricant sectors, reaffirming ambitions to expand its footprint across the country. Now operating over 60 service stations across Côte d’Ivoire, with a production capacity of 16,000 tons of lubricants annually, the company has firmly established itself as a leader in both local and regional markets.

The anniversary celebrations are set to spotlight the company’s journey of growth and innovation while charting a bold course for the future. With a sharp focus on maritime refueling, high-value lubricants, and advanced energy solutions, Corlay Côte d’Ivoire is positioning itself at the forefront of West Africa’s evolving energy priorities. As the sector continues to gain strategic importance in the region, the company is determined to lead the charge in delivering reliable, sustainable energy solutions.
