Justice minister Laurent Esso attends body lifting of supreme court head Alexis Dipanda Mouelle

Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals Laurent Esso was present on Thursday, 25 June 2026, at the morgue of the Yaoundé General Hospital.

Acting as the official representative of President Paul Biya, the Minister of Justice attended the body-lifting ceremony of Alexis Dipanda Mouelle, who served as the First President of the Supreme Court of Cameroon.

Alongside Minister Esso was the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Justice and Keeper of the Seals.

Several other high-ranking figures also took part in the ceremony. Among those gathered at the Yaoundé General Hospital morgue were Prime Minister and Head of Government Joseph Dion Ngute, as well as Jean Nkuete, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (Rdpc).
