Mali Military Training Camp Attack Leaves Over 50 Soldiers Dead

A deadly attack on a military training camp in Mali has left over 50 soldiers dead, according to officials.

The attack occurred at the FAMa training center in Gao, a key city in northern Mali.

Jeune Afrique reported that the attack was carried out by fighters from the Groupe de soutien à l’islam et aux musulmans (Jnim).

The Jnim, a militant group linked to al-Qaeda, has been active in northern Mali.

The attack was widely condemned by international leaders, who called for calm and restraint.
