National Excellence Contest in OHADA Law 2026 Takes Place in Niamey

Niamey will host the 2026 edition of the National Excellence Contest in OHADA Law, a prestigious academic competition open to university students and aspiring legal professionals across Niger.

The event, organized by the OHADA Club of Abdou Moumouni University (UAM) in partnership with the International Committee of the OHADA Genius-in-Making Contest (CIGHO), aims to foster excellence in legal education and promote the harmonization of business law in Africa.

Who can participate?

The contest welcomes three-member teams, including at least one female student, from the following academic backgrounds:

  • Law (Bachelor’s and Master’s levels)
  • Economics (Bachelor’s and Master’s levels)
  • Justice Section students at the National School of Administration (ENA)

Selection process

The competition consists of two phases:

1. Written tests:

  • Multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ)
  • Questions on African integration
  • ‘Who am I?’ challenge
  • Relay questions

2. Oral exam:

  • A mock trial (plea)

  • Registration deadline: June 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM
  • Selection date: July 11, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM
