Ndiaga Seck denies private ties with Senegal’s prime minister during inquiry

During his testimonies before investigators, prominent political figure Ndiaga Seck made a bold declaration regarding his relationship with Senegal’s Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko. Speaking candidly in Wolof, he stated, « Xamul woon li may dund », which translates to « He was unaware of my private life. »

Seck, aged 51, emphasized that Sonko had no knowledge of his sexual orientation or personal practices. The case, which originated from the urban police station in Linguère, has now progressed to the investigation stage under a detention order at the Louga court’s magistrates’ division.

Earlier this week, the investigating judge at the Louga Regional Court placed him under formal charges and issued a detention warrant following his transfer from the Linguère police station. The allegations against him involve « presumed acts against public morality. »
