Ousmane Sonko and PASTEF conclude impactful 48-hour tour in Jolof, inaugurating new departmental headquarters

PASTEF-Les Patriotes has successfully wrapped up a dynamic two-day political outreach initiative across the Jolof region. This extensive tour spanned all 19 communes within the Linguère department, covering key areas from Dahra to Barkédji, including Sagatta and Yang-Yang. The party leader, Ousmane Sonko, was a prominent presence throughout, joined by Minister of State Habib Sy, alongside numerous national executives and allies from the coalition.

The itinerary was marked by crucial engagements with local religious and customary authorities, fostering dialogue and strengthening ties. Parallel to these high-level interactions, the party’s grassroots structures, encompassing youth, women’s, and executive movements, were actively mobilized. Following this period of intense engagement, the local party leadership has formally outlined its strategic roadmap for upcoming phases.

A significant milestone of the tour was the inauguration of the new departmental headquarters. This, coupled with the commencement of member card distribution, signals PASTEF’s firm intent to solidify its territorial presence. The party aims to achieve this through a localized, proximity-focused approach, extending its reach into villages and neighborhoods across the department.

Beyond internal organizational efforts, local political leaders are extending an open invitation. They are calling upon militants, sympathizers, and political figures from other affiliations to unite under their shared vision for regional development.
