PSG vs Arsenal: Budapest’s weather forecast for the Champions League final

The French capital swelters in a heatwave, but Paris Saint-Germain’s players will find cooler conditions in Hungary for the showdown against Arsenal.

The Paris Saint-Germain squad arrived in Budapest on Friday morning, trading France’s relentless heatwave for milder Eastern European conditions ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final against Arsenal. While record temperatures have gripped the Hexagon for over a week, the French side will benefit from significantly cooler weather in Hungary.

The match, scheduled unusually early at 18:00 local time instead of the typical 21:00 kickoff, promises ideal footballing conditions. Forecasts indicate a high of just 24°C with overcast skies—but crucially, no rain expected.

Luis Enrique’s players stepped off the plane into sunshine and temperatures around 20°C, a stark contrast to the scorching conditions back home. Training sessions are set to begin at 16:45 local time, following the coach’s press conference at the Puskás Aréna.

No absentees in PSG’s final squad

The French champions head into the decider with a fully fit squad. Lucas Chevalier, Achraf Hakimi, and Ousmane Dembélé—recently sidelined by injury or minor physical issues—have all been included in the 23-man selection announced Friday morning.

With a chance to claim back-to-back Champions League titles, PSG will take the field in Budapest with confidence, knowing the elements won’t disrupt their pursuit of continental glory.

Perfect conditions for a historic clash

Saturday’s conditions appear tailor-made for high-intensity football. The absence of sweltering temperatures and precipitation removes two major variables that often impact Champions League finals. PSG’s technical staff and players alike can focus solely on executing their game plan against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
