Psg set to finalize first summer transfer with Aleksey Batrakov

Fresh off their historic back-to-back triumph in the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain are already turning their attention to squad reinforcements for the upcoming season.

The capital club capped an unforgettable campaign with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Arsenal in the final, followed by a 4-3 penalty shootout victory. This third consecutive European crown has intensified expectations for the Parc des Princes side, which now aims to extend its dominance on the continent. To achieve this, sporting director Luis Campos is expected to make his first major move of the summer transfer window.

Batrakov on the brink of Paris switch

According to confirmed reports, midfielder Aleksey Batrakov is on the verge of completing a move to the Ligue 1 giants. The 20-year-old Russian international, who has been linked with PSG for weeks, could soon trade the red and white of Lokomotiv Moscow for the iconic colours of the Parisian club.

Dmitry Cheltsov, Batrakov’s agent, revealed in a recent interview that the deal is virtually secured. «At this stage, the transfer is 95% certain. PSG and Lokomotiv officials have already held more than ten telephone conversations, and Campos is scheduled to travel to Moscow this week to finalize the agreement. Unless an unforeseen obstacle arises, this transaction will go through. The transfer fee is set at €25 million, with an additional €5-6 million per season in wages.

Batrakov’s impressive 2025-2026 campaign speaks volumes about his readiness for such a high-profile move. The dynamic attacking midfielder contributed 17 goals and 13 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for Lokomotiv Moscow, showcasing the creativity and offensive prowess that align perfectly with PSG’s recruitment strategy.
