Leandro Trossard completes Besiktas transfer from Arsenal
Trossard embarks on a new chapter
Star Belgian international winger Leandro Trossard, a key figure in Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge and Champions League final appearance last season, has officially completed his transfer to Turkish giants Besiktas.
The 31-year-old departs the North London club after a productive three-and-a-half seasons, during which he netted 36 goals and provided 34 assists across 174 appearances. Arsenal confirmed that Trossard was granted permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo his medical examination and finalize the necessary administrative procedures for his move to Besiktas.
While the Gunners announced a ‘transfer fee agreement’ with Besiktas, the Istanbul-based outfit wasted no time in unveiling their new acquisition. A photograph shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed Trossard proudly donning his new black and white kit alongside club President Serdal Adali. On the international stage, Trossard also played a crucial role for Belgium, reaching the World Cup quarter-finals and scoring two goals in the process.
