The unbreakable friendship and cooperation between Burkina Faso and Italy took center stage during the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic. The commemorative event, held on the evening of June 2, 2026, at the Italian Embassy in Ouagadougou, brought together Burkinabè officials, diplomatic corps members, and Italian nationals under one roof.
Representing Burkina Faso’s government, Deputy Minister Bêbgnasgnan Stella Eldine Kabré/Kaboré attended the gathering, which was filled with moments of remembrance, camaraderie, and celebration of the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

Italian Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Gabriele Di Muzio, highlighted the strength of bilateral cooperation, particularly through initiatives led by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. He emphasized Italy’s commitment to supporting Burkina Faso in stabilization efforts, humanitarian aid, and socioeconomic development.

« Advancing the well-being of the friendly Burkinabè people is the cornerstone of our mission here. We envision a lasting partnership built on shared values and mutual respect », he stated.
In her speech, Deputy Minister Kabré/Kaboré conveyed the congratulations of Burkina Faso’s President and people to the Italian community. She praised the vitality of a cooperation rooted in solidarity, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to progress.

The Deputy Minister also underscored the abundant investment opportunities available in Burkina Faso across key sectors. She urged Italian business operators to explore the incentives provided by the Burkinabè government to further boost economic exchanges and bilateral business partnerships.
