Chad president concludes UAE visit, returns to N’Djamena

Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, Chad’s head of state, touched down in N’Djamena after an official trip to the United Arab Emirates, where he engaged in high-level discussions with UAE leadership.

Chad’s transitional leader, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, landed in N’Djamena late yesterday evening, wrapping up a multi-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The trip underscored growing diplomatic ties between the two nations.

High-level engagements in Abu Dhabi

During his visit, the Chadian president held two separate meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace, where strategic cooperation was on the agenda. A second meeting followed at the Chadian head of state’s official residence, focusing on bilateral relations and investment opportunities.

Warm welcome upon return

Upon arrival at N’Djamena International Airport, President Déby was greeted by a high-profile delegation. The welcoming party included Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff, several cabinet ministers, the Presidential Secretary-General, the Personal Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
