President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema inaugurated Gabon’s first national data center in Nkok, a Zone Economique speciale. The ST Digital Data Center Services facility is certified Tier III and aims to boost local data storage, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
This initiative strengthens the country’s infrastructure, supporting startups and government agencies with cloud computing services.
The partnership promises young entrepreneurs access to professional services, including virtual machines, SSD storage, and technical support.
Laïka Mba, ST Digital director general, hailed this as a victory for Gabon’s sovereignty, stating that the data center ensures national security and protects sensitive information.
