In his weekly reflection published this Monday, Maurice Kamto, National President of Cameroon’s Movement for the Renaissance (MRC), delivers a stirring appeal for resilience and hope amid political challenges.
As has become customary over the past year, the opposition leader publishes a weekly thought piece every Monday.
“We now face an impossible choice: either snuff out our future or submit forever to forces that seek to extinguish our aspirations,” Kamto writes. “There remains one path forward – one resilient arm still raised, one eye still open to envision what others dismiss as impossible. I refuse to abandon hope in the triumph of reason. Behind the chaos, the primitive instincts, and the irrational hatreds, it is the light of consciousness that guides nations forward. This light will save Cameroon. This light will restore Africa.”
Kamto emphasizes that “national renewal in Cameroon isn’t just about one country – it represents the very symbol of Africa’s renaissance.”
