The Parti camerounais pour la réconciliation nationale (PCRN), led by Cabral Libii, has officially entered the governance sphere of Cameroon, working alongside the ruling Rassemblement démocratique du Peuple Camerounais (RDPC). This significant shift in African politics saw the esteemed Deputy Rolande Ngo Issi named as a member of the Superior Council of Magistracy.

The Cameroonian political landscape witnessed a significant development with the presidential decree issued on June 2, 2026, announcing new members of the Superior Council of Magistracy. Among the notable appointments is Honorable Rolande Ngo Issi, a Deputy representing the PCRN for Nyong and Kellé, marking a strategic entry for Cabral Libii’s party into national governance alongside the long-standing RDPC.

This critical body, essential for the functioning of justice in Cameroon, now includes several prominent figures. Alongside Rolande Ngo Issi, other distinguished individuals appointed include Sali Dahirou, former Minister of Public Service; Soppo Toute Marlyse, an RDPC Deputy from Wouri; Claude Francis Moukouri, the former Vice President of the Special Criminal Court (TCS); and other respected personalities such as Albert Ekono Nna, Engelbert Bengono, Mekoulou Cunégonde Christine épouse Ngotty, and Roger Sockeng.

Born in Yaoundé on January 9, 1981, Rolande Ngo Issi brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Her extensive career includes serving as a Deputy in the National Assembly and holding the position of alternate member of the Superior Council of Magistracy, a direct presidential appointment by Paul Biya. Furthermore, she is the Deputy Secretary-General of the Network of Women Parliamentarians of Cameroon, a member of the National Steering Committee for the PCRN, and the Secretary-General for the party’s regional delegation in the Centre region.

Beyond her legislative and political roles, Ms. Ngo Issi has been the national president of the Mouvement national des consommateurs (MNC) since April 2016. Her academic background is equally impressive, with a Master’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Yaoundé 1 – Nkoa Ekele, a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Yaoundé 2 – Soa, and a diploma from the École normale supérieure (ENS).

A vocal advocate, Rolande Ngo Issi is widely recognized for her active presence on social media, where she inspires thousands of Cameroonian youth, particularly in the realm of entrepreneurship. Her commitment to national development was evident during a recent debate on budget orientation, where she challenged the government on critical issues.

During her impactful discourse, she raised pointed questions regarding the feasibility of import substitution six months into its implementation, highlighting persistent challenges such as unreliable electricity, unstable internet connectivity, poor communication network quality in the digital age, and an oppressive, multi-layered tax system, alongside the need for equitable justice. “What can the state truly achieve six months later without electrical energy, without stable internet access and quality communication networks in this digital era, not to mention a crushing, pluralistic taxation system, and without fair justice?” she questioned, reflecting concerns across the nation.

She also directly addressed the Minister of Finance concerning the long-standing issue of police officers who have not received their advancements since 2017. “It surely has not escaped your notice that since 2017, no salary advancement has been processed for the Police, while in the army, it is automatic,” she underscored, drawing a clear distinction in treatment within public service.

Prior to her distinguished political career, Rolande Ngo Issi built a reputation as an enterprising woman and a personal training coach. She also dedicated eleven years to teaching in rural areas, demonstrating her deep commitment to community development and education.
