His Majesty, the King, has taken a decisive step in reinforcing the independence and efficiency of Morocco’s judicial system by appointing two new members to the Supreme Council of the Judiciary. Among these key figures is Mr. Mohamed Abdennabaoui, who has been reappointed as First President of the Court of Cassation and, in this capacity, as Deputy President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary.

Additionally, His Majesty has nominated Mrs. Latifa El Harradji and Mr. Nadir El Moumni as new members of this esteemed body. This move underscores the commitment to maintaining a robust and dynamic judicial framework.

A solemn moment as new judicial appointees take their oaths before the King

In a related development, the King has also appointed Mr. Farid El Bacha and renewed the mandates of Mr. Mohamed Zouak and Mr. Mohamed Ennasser for a second term. These appointments fall under the King’s constitutional prerogative to shape the composition of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary.

During a private audience, the newly appointed members solemnly took their oaths of office before His Majesty, the King, reaffirming their dedication to upholding justice and the rule of law in the Kingdom.
