The exchange, already tense, took a sharp turn after Bodian accused Diagne of spreading unverified claims and fabricating narratives.

The Port of Dakar’s director did not mince his words, calling Diagne a “mythomaniac par excellence” who specializes in spinning unverifiable tales.

« Madiambal, you’re a master of mythomania—you’ve done it again, » Bodian declared. « The fugitive seems to draw devilish inspiration from fiction. He’d make a fine screenwriter for fantasy films. »
