LOMÉ, July 31, 2026 — Togo is actively repositioning its long-term development strategy, placing private investors and businesses at its core. In Lomé, government officials recently convened key economic stakeholders from across the nation to address a crucial question: how can the private sector become a fundamental pillar for the extensive economic transformation anticipated in the coming years?
This strategic workshop, dedicated to Vision Togo 2040 and the Governmental Roadmap 2026-2031, brought together representatives from the World Bank Group, the national employers’ association, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, prominent Togolese enterprises, and international experts. Sandra Ablamba Johnson, Minister and Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council, officially opened the session on behalf of President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.
