Sources close to the negotiations indicate that the transfer of the forward to BVB is finalized, with all transaction details reportedly settled. This move suggests a strategic acquisition by the Bundesliga giants.

  • Asllani, a Kosovar player, is currently under contract with Hoffenheim until 2029, but a performance-related release clause is believed to be active. Given Borussia Dortmund’s consistent qualification for the UEFA Champions League group stage over the past three seasons, this clause has reportedly been triggered, setting the transfer fee at precisely 30 million euros.

The 23-year-old attacker has had a breakout season, firmly establishing himself in the spotlight. With an impressive tally of eleven goals and ten assists across 35 official matches, Asllani has showcased his formidable talent, making him one of the most sought-after forwards in the league.

  • BVB squad dynamics: what’s next for Guirassy and Adeyemi?

Asllani’s anticipated departure from Kraichgau and his arrival at Signal Iduna Park are expected to significantly impact Borussia Dortmund’s offensive lineup. The addition of another top-tier striker strongly suggests impending changes within the Black and Yellows’ attack. Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi are the names frequently mentioned as potential departures.

  • Guirassy’s future at BVB remains uncertain.

Karamba Guirassy, brother and advisor to the 30-year-old Serhou Guirassy, recently dismissed speculation regarding a finalized transfer to Turkish club Fenerbaçe. He unequivocally stated, “To clarify: no agreement of any kind has been reached. Serhou is currently evaluating his options for the upcoming season. Claims of a verbal agreement are simply false.”

Despite these denials, club officials are understood to have recently reignited discussions with the Guinean striker, presenting him with a long-term project aimed at extending his tenure beyond the current season at Signal Iduna Park. However, a key challenge for the Yellow and Blacks is that the player is widely expected to defer his decision on his future until after the ongoing World Cup concludes.

A quick review of his statistics highlights why Guirassy is so highly coveted and why BVB is determined to retain him: since 2024, he has participated in 96 official matches, netting 60 goals and providing 15 assists, showcasing his consistent scoring prowess.

  • Adeyemi’s future at BVB remains uncertain.

Karim Adeyemi is set to enter the final year of his contract next season. Should BVB fail to extend the attacker’s contract, which began in 2022, he would become eligible for a free transfer in the summer of 2027.

Contract discussions are reportedly proving challenging. The player, currently earning approximately 6.5 million euros annually, is said to be demanding over ten million.

Furthermore, Adeyemi and his representatives are reportedly seeking a release clause. Given the noticeable fluctuations in the 24-year-old’s performance, the Borussia Dortmund management appears hesitant to fully meet his demands.

Under coach Niko Kovac, the attacker has not secured an undisputed starting position, making 28 Bundesliga appearances with an average of 42 minutes per match, and scoring only four goals across all competitions in 2026.
