Côte d’Ivoire 2026: prime minister rallies investors for national growth plan

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering, stating, “Today marks another milestone in our consultative efforts to foster investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our primary goal is to mobilize private investments essential for translating this development vision into reality.” He noted with pride that over 700 investors from friendly nations have gathered for this pivotal event.

The government’s commitment to making the private sector the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation was a central theme. Prime Minister Mambé reassured participants of the country’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years amid global challenges. He emphasized that Côte d’Ivoire stands out as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.

Key sectors for investment

The Prime Minister outlined priority areas for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including:

  • Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition
  • Strategic infrastructure development, such as transportation, digital technology, and logistics
  • Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to build a more productive and inclusive economy

During the first day of the Consultative Group, over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, reviewed the national development strategy.

Investor confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s future

Leaders from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
