The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This session specifically targeted investors, bringing together more than 700 participants from allied nations.

“Today marks a pivotal moment in this consultative process, focusing on investment, enterprise, and value creation,” stated Robert Beugré Mambé. “Our objective is clear: mobilize private investments essential to realizing our national development ambitions. I am pleased to note the strong turnout of over 700 investors from friendly countries who have joined us for this critical discussion.”

With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives filling the venue, the Head of Government emphasized that this gathering serves as a vital platform for dialogue with private actors. It also aims to forge a unified vision for sustainable growth.

“Esteemed partners, your commitment to our shared journey reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects,” he continued. “You are key players in transforming our nation into a more competitive, job-creating economy. The success of this vision hinges on your willingness to invest in our future.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s decision to position the private sector as the primary driver of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the nation’s economic resilience and adaptability, highlighting an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—a testament to its standing among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This is a market brimming with opportunity,” he asserted. “Today’s discussions will accelerate investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030. Key focus areas include industrialization, local processing of raw materials to add value, development of strategic infrastructure—such as transport, digital, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that foster a productive and inclusive economy.”

Robert Beugré Mambé also highlighted that the first day of the event, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.

In response, leaders from Côte d’Ivoire’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGECI), France’s MEDEF Africa Committee, Morocco’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) reaffirmed their faith in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030 implementation.
