In a solemn ceremony held at the Palais Toumaï, the newly appointed European Union ambassador to Chad, Amador Sanchez Rico, formally presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19.
The event brought together key figures, including Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Chad’s Deputy Minister for African Integration and Overseas Tchadians, alongside Sona Jarosova, Head of the EU Delegation’s Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Chief of Cooperation for the EU Delegation in Chad.
This milestone signifies the official commencement of Ambassador Sanchez Rico’s three-year mission in Chad, dedicated to deepening the partnership between the European Union and the Republic of Chad.
The credential presentation underscores a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral ties and fostering tangible cooperation that directly benefits the Chadian people. It highlights the EU’s ongoing support for Chad’s development and stability through structured, results-driven initiatives.
