The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, centered on private investment, kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Ivoire Hotel, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

« Today marks a pivotal moment in this Consultative Group, which focuses on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is clear: to mobilize the private sector investments essential for turning our development vision into reality. I am pleased to highlight that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined this critical gathering, » declared Robert Beugré Mambé.

With corporate leaders, investors, and private sector representatives flocking to Abidjan, the Head of Government emphasized the significance of this forum as both a dialogue platform and a means to align shared developmental goals.

« Esteemed partners, your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Ivory Coast’s economic potential and growth prospects. You are indispensable allies in building a more competitive economy that generates quality employment. The success of this vision hinges on your willingness to invest, » he underscored.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Ivory Coast’s economic transformation. He reassured attendees of the nation’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—a testament to its standing among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

« Ivory Coast today offers a thriving market brimming with opportunities. This event will fast-track investments in key NDP 2026-2030 sectors, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, strategic infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to bolster competitiveness, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that foster a more productive and inclusive economy, » he stressed.

Robert Beugré Mambé recalled that the first day, dedicated to institutional partners and an overview of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Ivory Coast.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from Ivory Coast’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGECI), France’s MEDEF Africa Committee, Morocco’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) echoed the government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to the NDP 2026-2030, reaffirming their readiness to play a pivotal role in its implementation.
