Morocco and colombia strengthen un peacekeeping ties in new york

The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Colombia have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration between the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission and the UN Security Council. This joint pledge aims to prioritize peacekeeping efforts within the framework of global stability and international cooperation.

During a courtesy visit in New York on June 3, Omar Hilale, Morocco’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and current Chair of the UN Peacebuilding Commission, welcomed Leonor Zalabata Torres, Colombia’s Ambassador to the UN and incoming President of the UN Security Council for June 2026. The meeting underscored the shared dedication to advancing peace initiatives and fostering multilateral dialogue.
