President Bassirou Diomaye Faye continues reshuffle in key state roles

Following an initial round of dismissals targeting directors general aligned with Ousmane Sonko, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has carried out a second wave of removals this Wednesday.

The most prominent change involves Waly Diouf Bodiang, who has been removed from his position as Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar. Bodiang, a prominent figure within Pastef, is succeeded by Doune Pathé Mbengue, a former activist from the Apr party.

Babo Amadou Ba, the National Coordinator of Pastef cadres (Moncap) and Director General of the Vocational and Technical Training Financing Fund (3FPT), has also been dismissed. He is replaced by Soulèye Kane.

Another key figure affected is Lamine Barra Lô, who served as Pastef’s representative in Touba and as Director General of the National Vocational Training Office (ONFP). He has been succeeded by Mame Awa Ndoye.

Meanwhile, Karamba Diallo has been appointed as the new Director General of SEN-Pharmacie, the national supply pharmacy, replacing Seydou Diallo, a Sonko ally and Pastef leader in Keur Massar.
