The hall resonated with the vibrant sounds of West African rhythms and melodies during the Vibrations africaines gala. This annual celebration brought together community members in a joyous display of cultural heritage.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Marcel-Sembat hall transformed into a celebration of West African culture through the Vibrations africaines gala, organized by Faso Lili association.
Before an enthusiastic crowd of 170 attendees, the evening highlighted the rich traditions of West African heritage while supporting a meaningful solidarity project.
For many years, Faso Lili has been dedicated to promoting West African dance and music through classes, workshops, and performances. This annual gala provided members with the opportunity to showcase their hard work alongside recognized professional artists.
The performance featured live music and choreography, bringing together nearly 70 performers on stage, accompanied by five professional musicians and two professional dancers. The audience enjoyed performances by Samba Diarra, singer-songwriter, Ali Diarra from Les Frères Diarra group, choreographer and dancer Moussa Camara, and professional Malian dancer Mariam Doumbia, whose talent and energy electrified the stage.
Throughout the evening, spectators were immersed in captivating rhythms, colorful costumes, and a true celebration of West African culture. The intermission offered attendees a chance to mingle and enjoy refreshments available on-site.
Beyond its artistic dimension, the gala served a charitable purpose. All proceeds from the evening will fund Faso Lili’s cultural center in Burkina Faso, a project designed to promote access to culture, knowledge transmission, and intercultural exchange.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, artists, members, and the public, the 2026 edition of Vibrations africaines proved to be a resounding success, reaffirming that culture is a powerful vehicle for sharing, connection, and solidarity.
