Côte d’Ivoire’s PM rallies investors for economic growth at PND 2026-2030 forum

Abidjan, 09 July 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé led the high-profile opening session, emphasizing the pivotal role of private investment in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda.

Investors rally behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation

Prime Minister Mambé highlighted the significance of the gathering, stating, “This marks a new milestone in our consultative process, focusing on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is to harness private capital essential for turning our development vision into reality.” Over 700 investors from partner nations attended the event, underscoring strong international confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential.

Addressing a room filled with corporate leaders, investors, and private sector delegates, the Prime Minister reiterated that this forum serves as a vital platform for fostering dialogue and aligning shared development goals. “Your commitment alongside us reflects the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic outlook and growth prospects,” he noted. “As key partners, you are instrumental in transforming our vision into a competitive, job-creating economy.”

Private sector as the engine of growth

The government has positioned the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. Prime Minister Mambé reassured investors of the country’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—a testament to its adaptability amid global challenges. “Côte d’Ivoire stands among Africa’s most dynamic economies, and this momentum offers unparalleled opportunities,” he affirmed.

He outlined key sectors poised for investment, including:

  • Industrialization and local raw material processing to enhance value addition;
  • Critical infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to boost competitiveness;
  • Human capital investment and innovation to foster a productive, inclusive economy.

The first day of the consultative group, focused on institutional partners and the PND’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, further validating the plan’s broad appeal.
