Togo: CNTS Lomé calls for blood donation on 12 June 2026

On the occasion of the 22nd World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on 14 June 2026, the National Blood Transfusion Centre (CNTS) in Lomé is calling on residents of the capital and surrounding areas to participate in a special blood collection event.

This year’s theme, “A drop of humanity. Give blood. Save lives,” underscores the critical importance of voluntary donations. The special drive will take place on Friday, 12 June 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Two collection sites in Lomé

Donors can visit either of two designated locations:

  • The CNTS headquarters in Tokoin Doumasséssé, opposite EPP Doumasséssé 1;
  • The Tokoin Collection and Distribution Post, located inside the Sylvanus Olympio University Hospital, behind the haemodialysis unit.

An appeal for solidarity to save lives

Through this initiative, the CNTS aims to boost blood reserves and meet the needs of health facilities. The centre urges the public to turn out in large numbers, reminding that a single donation can help save multiple lives.

“We are all united by the act of giving,” the CNTS emphasizes, counting on the generosity and civic commitment of donors to make this operation a success.

The CNTS in Lomé extends its advance thanks to all volunteers for their contribution to this solidarity action in favour of patients requiring blood transfusions.
