Chad’s transitional leader, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, touched down in N’Djamena late last evening, concluding a high-profile visit to the United Arab Emirates. The President’s itinerary included two separate meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan—first at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi and later at the Marshal’s private residence.

Upon arrival at N’Djamena International Airport, the Head of State was greeted by Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, key cabinet ministers, the President’s Secretary-General, the Personal Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, and the Deputy Private Secretary, along with N’Djamena’s Mayor.
