Romania takes firm stance against Russian drone incursions

Bucharest has escalated its response to repeated Russian drone violations by expelling a Russian embassy official, declaring the diplomat “persona non grata”. The decision follows the interception of multiple drones, including a Shahed model—typically used in Ukraine—shot down by a Romanian F-16 fighter jet.
