On Friday, July 24, 2026, Traoré Amidou officially assumed the role of Director-General of Côte d’Ivoire Énergies (CI-ENERGIES), marking the start of a new chapter for the country’s power sector. The handover ceremony was led by Yves Konan, Chair of the Board of Directors, who presided over the transition.
Traoré Amidou takes over from Noumory Sidibé, who steered CI-ENERGIES for nearly half a decade with notable dedication.
The outgoing leadership received commendation from the board for outstanding contributions during Sidibé’s tenure. CI-ENERGIES, a state-owned entity, plays a pivotal role in shaping and expanding Côte d’Ivoire’s electricity infrastructure.
